We are seeking Trainee Accountants to join our Dublin office. With more than 30 locations, Ifac recently acquired leading Dublin firm Friel Stafford located in Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2, where our Trainee Accountants get to live and work where they feel at home, while achieving their professional qualification in a Top Ten firm.

Role

Our Trainee Accountant programme provides an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with a top 10 accountancy firm. Trainees will gain valuable, hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals, including Accountants, Tax Advisors, Auditors, Consultants, and Financial Planners. With direct client exposure and support from expert teams, Trainee Accountants develop quickly in a dynamic environment. This role will suit a graduate interested in pursuing a career in accountancy and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing financial documents and reports.
  • Support the team with tasks related to investigations, valuations and filings.
  • Work with spreadsheets and accounting software to analyse financial information.
  • Correspondence with various stakeholders including clients, banks, revenue commissioners, etc.
  • Support the team in maintaining client confidentiality and complying with relevant data legislation.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to build knowledge and skills.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team.
Programme and Development

You will begin your journey with Ifac and Friel Stafford with an extensive onboarding programme. You will receive training and support from a diverse team while you learn how to prepare and review accounts and tax computations, provide client support, and help business owners manage risk and maximise opportunities. You will be involved in full accounting, tax and consulting assignments across industries with a focus on food and agribusiness.

Our structured and supportive training programme includes dedicated mentor support, practical hands-on experience, early-stage access to clients, sponsorship of education fees, and paid study leave. This is a full-time trainee contract, typically offered on a fixed-term basis for 3.5 years.

You Will Be

A graduate with a third-level qualification in accountancy, finance, or a business-related discipline and have:

  • A passion for helping business owners solve problems and maximise opportunities
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships
  • A willingness to learn and grow professionally with a commitment to completing a professional qualification
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office
