We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities in Longford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of service users, promoting independence, inclusion, and quality of life.

Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised OT interventions in line with best practice and person-centred care.
  • Support service users to develop or maintain functional skills for daily living, including self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and provide recommendations for adaptations, equipment, or assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Contribute to the development and review of individual support plans (ISPs) and participate in case conferences as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with data protection and professional guidelines.
  • Participate in service audits, CPD, supervision, and team meetings.
  • Adhere to national policy, HIQA standards, and professional codes of conduct.
Requirements of Occupational Therapist
  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU.
  • CORU registration (or evidence of application in process).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • A person-centred, empathetic, and flexible approach.
  • Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle.
