Commis Chef

We are currently recruiting for Commis Chefs to join our Kitchen team at Dublin's Leading Castle Hotel.

The Clontarf Castle Hotel in Dublin, Ireland is a perfect blend of a boutique and luxury hotel, providing unique style and exceptional service in comfortable surroundings. This unique luxury hotel in Dublin is well thought out from the guests' point of view by providing a modern aesthetic built around an ancient form.

We are located just 10 minutes from the heart of Dublin City Centre and 5 miles from Dublin Airport, tucked away in a tranquil setting, surrounded by fabulous golf courses and the sounds of lapping waters from the Irish Sea.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Head Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Commis Chef will support the Kitchen team with the day-to-day operations whilst maintaining a high level cleanliness in order to provide 100% quality service to guests at all times.

The Person

Previous experience at Commis level
Passion for producing high quality food and service
Ability to lead in a fast paced environment, as part of a team
Candidates should be able to demonstrate flair, creativity and skill in the Kitchen.
HACCP or food safety management qualification
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Primary duties and responsibilities

In conjunction with the Executive Team, to ensure the consistent smooth running of food service primarily in our Kitchen, delivering an outstanding gastro menu.
Maintain a high level of food quality which will exceed guest's expectations with every dish.
To ensure effective stock control
To ensure that cleanliness and food safety is adhered at all times, HACCP Management.
To Assist in our various other Kitchens as required
