KNOW THE ROLE

The Goods In Manager will be accountable for the daily running of the Goods Inwards area in the Distribution Centre. You will work to ensure KPIs, standards and processes are aligned. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead out on the receiving goods from suppliers for BTA stores & online.
  • Oversee the Goods Out area managing deliveries to all stores as well as collections from suppliers.
  • Ensuring deliveries and collections are fully completed in line with company procedure and compliance.
  • To ensure that all deliveries comply with supplier guidelines, and escalate to the relevant stakeholders when non-compliance occurs.
  • Supervise team members to ensure that all applicable warehouse activities and all machines/equipment are safely operated.
  • Plan and communicate work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
  • Oversee daily office and photo studio administration duties.
  • Manage communication with suppliers, accounts department.
  • Assume full responsibility for management of the BTA Goods In/out team and office team.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep of the Goods Inwards/Outwards area.
  • Daily communication and direction to your teams to ensure KPIs are met and to stay informed of store sales, events and product peaks.
  • Liaise with the Online Multichannel team and the Retail team to ensure the needs of the business are met.
  • Responsible for managing storage of BTA store visual merchandising and display equipment and ensuring the safe return of all equipment to DC.
  • Role model and drive a culture that is in line with our Vision, Purpose and Values.
  • Ensure processing targets are met in line with our service expectations to the Stores.
  • Demonstrate an active leadership style, taking full responsibility for driving an engagement culture in the operation.
  • Identify staff potential and training needs ensuring that coaching and training opportunities are available to encourage individual growth for the benefit of team and the company.
  • Leading the team to follow Safety standards and help to reduce or eliminate health & Safety related risks. Escalating and resolving any issues of non-compliance.
  • Develop and recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote safety, service efficiency and lower costs.

KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of two years' experience in a Goods Inwards / Logistics role, with a focus on service delivery in the retail sector.
  • Minimum of two years people management experience.
  • Excellent experience and knowledge of systems and analysing data.
  • Proven track record in a robust service driven environment.
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to build and promote effective teamwork.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and change in a fast paced environment.
  • Good relationship builder and networker.
