A highly prestigious Limerick Hospital is looking for Theatre and Endoscopy nurses to join their team.

The Hospital offers surgical services across the following specialties: General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Endoscopy, ENT, Orthopaedics, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Oral and Maxillo Facial surgery, Plastics, and Pain Medicine.

Post: Full-time, Permanent position.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (full time equivalent). The successful candidates are required to be flexible in both working days and times.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Ensure all documentation relating to patients is accurately maintained in accordance with the medical records policy.
  • Practice within and support the hospital Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines, and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital.
  • To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines, and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital.

Job Requirements:

  • Registration in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
  • 12 months recent acute hospital experience is essential.
  • Previous experience working in the areas of a Theatre setting is desirable.
  • Demonstrable commitment to Quality and Patient Safety.
  • Have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills are required.
