Business Development Manager – Environmental Testing

A fast-growing player in the environmental testing sector is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate market share growth across testing. This is a hands-on hunter role, perfect for someone who combines technical know-how with strong sales acumen, and thrives in building lasting client relationships while driving new business.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and qualify new prospects through cold calling, meetings, and outreach
  • Manage the full sales cycle - develop quotations, negotiate contracts, and close deals
  • Retain and grow a portfolio of allocated accounts, ensuring consistent revenue growth
  • Develop and execute key account strategies to capture 20–25% market share in target segments
  • Track and report pipeline activity through CRM, ensuring data accuracy
  • Stay ahead of competitors by maintaining a strong knowledge base of market activities
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years' technical expertise in environmental fields (soil, water, asbestos, or air testing)
  • Strong communication skills with proven success in customer-facing roles
  • Hands-on mindset—comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and frequent travel (3–4 days/week)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (MBA a plus)
  • Flexibility on location (role can be remote, based anywhere in Ireland; open to international candidates with critical skills visas)
