Senior Project Engineer - Ireland, Cork - 18 Months Contract

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our client, a research-based biopharmaceutical company, on their journey of discovering, developing, and commercialising innovative medicines and researching and developing antiviral drugs used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, influenza, and COVID-19.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  1. Managing and executing projects throughout the project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
  2. Completing Front End studies with end-users for projects to determine the most appropriate technical solution for the request at hand and developing Business Cases, Budgets, and schedules to support CAPEX Funding applications.
  3. Managing and executing design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases of the project.
  4. Managing cross-functional client project teams.
  5. Project Scheduling & Cost Control with regular reporting to key client stakeholders.
  6. Managing project changes and ensuring all are captured, documented, and assessed.
  7. Ensuring a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of capital projects.
  8. Executing Project Validation activities.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge in relevant science or engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a client-side Capital Projects execution role.
  • Experience with Client Electronic Change Management Systems & full end-to-end Project Life-cycle.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and projects in a GMP Manufacturing Environment.
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements of the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Understanding of the project management process, including programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
