Data Integrity Lead – Global POS Transformation

Location: Dublin or Reading (Hybrid)

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract – 18 Months

About the Role

A leading international retailer is undertaking a strategic global replacement of its

Point of Sale (POS) systems—and we're looking for a Data Integrity Lead to play a

pivotal role in this transformation. This is more than a technical role: it's a strategic

opportunity to shape how data flows, integrates, and matures across a global

enterprise.

You'll be responsible for safeguarding data accuracy, consistency, and completeness

across a complex integration landscape. From tactical improvements to long-term

automation, you'll help deliver a future-ready data strategy that supports seamless

global rollout and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver a global data integrity strategy for POS transformation

Lead data validation and reconciliation across legacy and target systems

Build automated monitoring and alerting tools to ensure real-time data accuracy

Interpret and troubleshoot XMLs, APIs, and ETL flows across integrated

platforms

Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to mature the integration

landscape

Ensure data integrity across Microsoft Azure and other enterprise platforms

Drive tactical improvements that align with long-term automation goals

Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer across teams

Support compliance, audit, and data governance initiatives

Strategic Impact

This role is central to enabling global scalability and operational resilience. You'll

ensure that data flows cleanly and securely across all systems—from POS to ERP

and beyond—supporting the rollout of integrations across 16+ countries and

thousands of stores.

Skills & Experience

Proven background in data engineering, with hands-on experience in data

validation and migration

Deep understanding of integration landscapes and enterprise data flows

other MS platforms

Experience with XML interpretation, API mapping, and ETL pipelines

Strong knowledge of data profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation techniques

Ability to design and implement automated data quality solutions

Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Experience in global retail transformation programmes

Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms

Exposure to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)

Certification in data governance or architecture (e.g., DAMA, CDMP)

Experience with cloud-based monitoring tools (e.g., Power BI, Splunk)
