Senior Technical Writer (API Focus) – 12-Month Contract

Daily rate: up to €500 (DOE)

Daily Rate: Up to €500/day

Eligibility: Stamp 4, Stamp 1G, or EU passport holders already based in Ireland

We're hiring on behalf of a leading global player in the fintech and digital payments space, a long-standing and trusted client of ours. Their engineering and product teams are building the future of online checkout, and documentation is a critical part of delivering seamless integration to their partners and developers worldwide.

They're now looking for a Senior Technical Writer to create top-tier developer documentation that helps simplify complex APIs and enhances the self-service experience.

What You'll Work On

  • Write and maintain API documentation, integration guides, and onboarding content for developers and partners
  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and UX teams to translate technical details into clear and helpful documentation
  • Use and help evolve a docs-as-code approach (Markdown, Git, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman)
  • Help drive the developer experience strategy with high-quality, scalable content

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years of experience as a Technical Writer focused on developer or API documentation
  • Strong knowledge of tools like Markdown, Git, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI
  • Understanding of REST APIs, authentication protocols, and microservices
  • Background in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in an agile, fast-paced tech environment
