Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor Company, requires a Senior Analog Design Engineer (SERDES) for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.

Role:

You will join the PMA design team as part of a SERDES Product Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design high-speed SERDES products at data rates up to and exceeding 112 Gbps on advanced technology nodes (e.g., 5nm FinFET CMOS)
  • Develop analog/mixed-signal IC circuit blocks from concept to final verification against customer specifications
  • Collaborate with Physical Design Engineers to design IC circuit blocks and PMA sections
  • Work with Technical Team Leads on circuit design and SERDES architectures
  • Mentor junior Design Engineers as needed
  • Coordinate with global teams across different time zones (US, west coast, east coast)

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of CMOS design experience, preferably in CMOS SERDES or high-speed I/O IC design
  • Strong understanding of jitter and signal equalization techniques
  • Experience designing SERDES circuit blocks such as drivers, receivers, serializers, deserializers, phase interpolators, low jitter PLLs, high-speed clock distribution, bias and bandgap circuits, voltage regulators
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for circuit simulation, layout, and verification
  • BEng, MEng, or PhD qualification

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience with Cadence tools and design in technologies >10Gbps and
