Job Description:

TRANSPORT PLANNER | NIGHT SHIFT | PERMANENT

Located in North County Dublin, our client is a leader in the logistics industry. They are committed to growing their business and developing their people. The team is searching for a Transport Planner to join their Night Shift Team on a permanent basis and progress their careers long term.

The Role

The new team member will be responsible for coordinating transport planning and monitoring across Ireland. You should be knowledgeable and confident in communicating with all stakeholders, providing excellent customer service, and have previous experience in an office-based logistics coordination role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, handling designated key accounts
  • Plan transport routes for drivers
  • Provide updates regarding plans of action for the team
  • Problem solve transport planning issues during the night shift
  • Maintain accurate transport planning data for efficiency
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, ideally within transport or operations planning
  • Good geographical knowledge of Ireland
  • Strong technical and IT skills, proficient with MS Office programs
  • Previous experience with consignment systems such as Stratum
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work as part of a team, self-manage, and prioritize workload
