Senior Planning/Scheduler Manager

Senior Planning/Scheduler Manager role at Mace. The senior scheduler role is within the chief infrastructure office of a semi-state organisation in Ireland. The candidate should have experience as a scheduler in a large capital project delivery environment, with the ability to manage schedules against baselines and communicate with key stakeholders. Education: degree level in a project management, engineering, or construction industry discipline. Strong analytical and IT skills, particularly Primavera P6, MS Project Online, Excel, MS Office Suite; Power BI is desirable.

• Deliver and maintain a detailed logic linked integrated master schedule in Primavera P6 and MS Project Online, spanning across all workstreams and in line with the agreed programme WBS.
• Lead the effort in maintaining WBS, project scope, basis of schedule document, and assumptions log with strict change control.
• Establish and manage the project baseline and reporting, including regular schedule variance reports.
• Facilitate and lead schedule planning workshops and reviews with a multi-disciplinary team; develop interfaces with subject matter experts in the programme team.
• Conduct monthly schedule progress updates with package leads and consultants.
• Review, assess and challenge the deliverability of contractors' schedules.
• Report on schedule progress including critical path, trend analysis, and impacts from interface areas.
• Provide regular schedule status reports for the programme and sub-elements to stakeholders.
• Contribute to developing planning processes and procedures to support the programme delivery plans.
• Undertake "what-if" scenario planning to support successful development of the project and develop ad-hoc schedules and reporting as required by programme leadership.
• Produce consolidated timeline views for resource planning, budgeting and benchmarking.
• Liaise with controls and performance team to align schedule, cost and risk for integrated controls.
• Support schedule baselining and re-baselining activities; QSRA processes.
• Perform other activities as required by the programme controls lead.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills; ability to forge and maintain strong working relationships.
• Proactive ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams including consultants and contractors.
• 8+ years of hands-on scheduling experience; advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. MS Power BI is desirable.
• 8+ years of experience as a scheduler on large and complex infrastructure projects in the offshore energy sector; relevant university qualification.
• Experience with quantitative schedule risk assessments (QSRA).
• Proven track record of developing work breakdown structures, creating project schedules, analysing contractors' schedules, and schedule control.
• Experience in communicating and reporting up to C-Suite.

• Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Extensive experience in successful planning of projects and programmes in the electrical sector.
• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams; experience managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape project outlooks.
