Post Summary: The Professor in General Nursing will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the expansion and development of general nursing research and practice at Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Discipline of General Nursing, as well as interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision, and mentoring. The role involves expanding current research activities and aligning with the research priorities of the School and the General Nursing Discipline. The candidate must have substantial knowledge relevant to the role, be capable of attracting research funding, and achieve scholarly recognition. Additionally, the individual will connect with, complement, and enhance the existing strengths within the discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Professor Salary Scale (€103,462 - €138,319 per annum), at a point aligned with current Government pay policy.
