Principal Researcher, Recommender Systems - PhD / Data Science / Machine Learning / Python / R / C++

We're partnered with a global leader in tech and mobile/wireless development, and they need a Principal Researcher for Recommender Systems with experience in machine learning research and a solid track record in publications to join their team in Dublin in Ireland on a permanent basis.

Please note, this role will require 100% onsite presence in Dublin

As a Principal Researcher, some of your core responsibilities will be:

  • Spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge recommender system algorithms to address complex real-world challenges
  • Perform extensive research, explore innovative methodologies, and advance the state-of-the-art in recommender systems
  • Handle large-scale datasets, introducing creative approaches for data acquisition, preparation, and optimization
  • Set strategic research priorities, lead projects, and mentor junior researchers to ensure high-quality execution

Required skills:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields with substantial research leadership experience
  • Extensive experience in recommender systems and machine learning research, with a track record of innovations and solutions
  • Advanced programming and software engineering expertise in Python, R, C, or C++
  • Passionate about shaping the future of machine learning and AI technologies
  • Strong publication record in top-tier conferences, journals, and intellectual property
