Hobson Prior is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer who will play a crucial role in developing and improving electronic manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and efficiency as we move towards large-scale production. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth operations and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance processes for assembling electronic components.
  • Work with teams to ensure designs are easy to manufacture and assemble.
  • Provide technical support and solve manufacturing issues.
  • Validate and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Continuously improve processes for better quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with different departments to support production needs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in the manufacturing of active medical devices.
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly methods and quality systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and basic office software.
  • Understanding of IEC60601, ISO 13485, ISO14971 and IEC62304.
