Project Foundry are seeking and experienced Test Manager to join our team on a 12-month, part-time contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in developing robust test plans and strategies, whilst working with a dedicated team within a public sector organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the overall test strategy, including objectives, scope, approach, and acceptance criteria for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), and align the strategy with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop detailed test plans, specifying activities, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage testing teams (including users), assigning tasks and ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources.
  • Maintain detailed logs of test activities, results, and defect resolutions.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to resolve any test environment issues.
  • Provide regular test status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and areas of concern.
  • Contribute to managing the staged cutover from legacy systems to the new platform.
  • Engage with project manager on project critical path and overall timelines.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in testing and test management roles.
  • Experience in leading/managing large teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ambitious with an ability to work alone when needed.
  • Motivated, show initiative and willing to learn.
