Job Description

What you will do

Reporting to and working with Global Creative's Creative Director, we are seeking a Head of Copy to lead a team of experienced copywriters and content specialists to develop and execute first-class content for our portfolio of clients. This is a fundamental in-house position, with a strong focus on digital mediums.

You'll have a solid understanding of content and will have either worked in a similar role at an agency or client side.

This is an opportunity to lead a team of talented copywriters, helping to collectively drive forward our overall approach to copy and content production. We are looking for new energy and ideas to boost our offering and provide metrics-driven content that supports strategic business goals. The right candidate will be hungry to push the boundaries of what we can do with content and keen to make their mark in Johnson Controls.

How Will You Do It
  • Serve as an exemplary writer and content strategist.
  • Lead with strategic thinking and build consensus in a dynamic environment.
  • Alongside other Heads of Depts, contribute to the development of strategies and execution for current or prospective services that Global Creative may offer to the client.
  • Be a strong team player with demonstrated leadership acumen.
  • Work closely with the Chief Global Creative Director to develop Global Creative's content strategy and assets.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and act tactically in order to align Global Creative's services with customer needs.
  • Manage and develop team members in a highly interactive team environment; leading copywriters to deliver first class writing to clients.
  • Ensure copy team operates within established processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.

Required

What we look for:
  • Extensive experience in content strategy and creation in an agency setting
  • Previous experience in leading the international team
  • Armed with a strong copy background, you'll have experience in ideation, managing deadlines and deliverables, overseeing the content output for different clients and writing for a variety of different content formats
  • Proven experience working in a large matrix organization, with a strong understanding of cross-functional collaboration and complex organizational structures.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated leadership acumen.
  • Unrivalled ability to prioritize workload and deliver multiple projects at any given time.
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of the digital marketing landscape and advise on the best approach for digital communications for each project.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, communication, marketing or related field. (MBA a plus)
  • Experience in TV Production
