Site Reliability Engineer - Linux - Python - Shell - /CI/CD / Infrastructure / DevOps - based in Cork, Ireland

Our client, a leading global technology company, is looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join their Unix Platform Services team. This role focuses on managing and scaling Linux systems that power critical services in mobile, automotive, IoT, and compute technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain internal tools and automation scripts (Python, Shell)
  • Automate infrastructure and support scaling initiatives
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and software release processes
  • Troubleshoot system issues and improve reliability
  • Work closely with global teams to implement secure and efficient platforms
  • Use tools such as Jenkins, Airflow, JIRA, and Confluence

Candidate Profile:

  • 3+ years of experience in Python and Shell scripting
  • 3+ years of Linux systems administration (SUSE, Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.)
  • 2+ years with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet)
  • 1+ year of experience in software release management
  • 1+ year using Jenkins and/or Airflow
  • 1+ year of CI/CD pipeline experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced scripting skills (Python, Shell)
  • Experience with observability platforms like Splunk or DataDog
  • Background in DevOps or system administration
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and system health tools
