Overview

Vertiv is looking for a Costing Engineer who will be at the heart of our product pricing strategy for the Busbar product in Ireland. You'll ensure every cost—from raw materials to final delivery—is understood, measured, and optimized, and your work will influence decision-making, drive efficiency, and strengthen our bottom line.

What You'll Do
  • Become an expert in our Busbar products; understand every component and process.
  • Map manufacturing and supply chain workflows in detail to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
  • Generate precise, structured cost data covering materials, labour, machinery, overheads, and time metrics.
  • Keep cost models accurate and up to date so the business can make fast, informed decisions.
  • Create clear, insightful reports for senior management, turning complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, R&D, and Offering teams to design smarter, build better, and spend less.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field (advanced degrees or certifications are a plus).
  • Experience in cost engineering/analysis within manufacturing.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost estimation techniques.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and cost analysis tools.
  • A love for precision, problem-solving, and finding efficiencies.
  • Experience in medium to large industrial organizations.
