Overview

Location: The Met Bar, Fitzwilton Hotel, Bridge Street

We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Food & Beverage staff to join our friendly dynamic team. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisors, a Food & Beverage Assistant will provide a friendly and efficient service to our customers in our Bar, Restaurant and Function rooms.

Must be available midweek & weekends to be considered.

Responsibilities

• To greet regular customers courteously.
• To find appropriate tables and sit guests for dining.
• To take food and drink orders in a hospitable manner.
• Monitor the bar / restaurant floor to ensure efficient and personalised service is delivered to customers.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of the food and drinks on our menus and be willing and able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• To up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible both in the hotel or wider group.
• Completing daily and weekly cleaning checklists ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• Will have previous experience working in a busy bar or restaurant environment.
• Enjoy working with the public
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Maximum flexibility with regards to hours; must be available to work over a 7 day period - midweek and weekends.
• Be a great team player.
• Fluent in English.
