Description Moore is a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services for smart, commercially ambitious enterprises seeking the highest standards in client service and expertise. Due to ongoing growth in our tax group, we are currently seeking to recruit an Associate Director to join our tax team in our Cork office, with excellent opportunities for career progression. The role offers a mixture of compliance work (mainly corporate tax and income tax) providing significant and varied experience. General Description of Duties:- Managing Compliance Portfolios: Overseeing a portfolio of corporate tax, income tax and VAT compliance clients, ensuring all filings and payments are accurate and timely. Oversight of Payroll Bureau.
- Training and Mentoring: Providing guidance, mentoring and training to more junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge in tax compliance.
- Client Liaison: Acting as a point of contact for clients, addressing their tax compliance related queries and concerns, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Reviewing work: Delegating, managing and reviewing the compliance work of the tax team to ensure high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments and professional advisors to provide comprehensive tax compliance services.
- Project Management: Managing tax compliance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Regulatory updates: Keeping up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensuring that clients and the team are informed and compliant.
- Business Development: Identifying opportunities for new business and contributing to the development of business initiatives.
- Financial Management: Assisting in the management of the Cork tax department, including work-in-progress, debtors, billings and fee collection.

Experience and Qualifications Required
- A qualified CTA tax professional.
- An accounting qualification is preferable but not essential.
- A strong technical knowledge across the compliance tax heads
- A proven track record managing a team of professionals
- Experience in managing a compliance portfolio
- Excellent project management skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication ability
- Strong ability to delegate, manage and review the work of the tax team and other departments within the firm.
