Staff Nurse

- Experience working with the elderly
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
- Good knowledge of HIQA standards
- Hold a valid NMBI decision letter
- Hold a valid NMBI PIN
- Support the Director of Care, Clinical Nurse Manager, or Senior Staff Nurse in their duties
- Maintain professional and ethical standards, ensuring a high standard of resident care
- Adhere to NMBI guidelines on the administration of medical preparations and the 'Misuse of Drugs Act'
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, respecting each member's contribution
- Maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels within Haven Bay
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all information acquired during work
- Deliver induction training to new nursing and care staff
- Ensure each resident has an individualised assessment and a person-centred care plan, which is regularly evaluated and updated
- Provide holistic and individualised nursing care to meet residents' needs
- Develop and maintain good relationships with residents and their families, communicating effectively and keeping them informed of any changes
- Supervise and delegate duties to care assistants
Haven Bay Care Centre is located in Kinsale, Co. Cork.
