There is 1 permanent whole-time vacancy in the Quality and Safety Department, HSE South West. The base for the post is negotiable with options for a base in either the Quality & Safety Department in the Erinville Hospital in Cork or the Borg Warner Centre in Tralee in Kerry. Pending future regional structural changes may impact this post going forward. A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade VII - Quality and Safety Advisor from which current and future, Permanent and Specified Purpose vacancies of Full or Part-Time duration may be filled. The existing panels will take precedence over the supplementary panel created through this campaign for any future posts that arise.
Location: Kerry and Cork.
Post specific related information: Work with the Quality and Patient Safety Manager to develop, deliver, implement and evaluate a comprehensive quality and safety programme with associated structures, policies and processes which are the vehicle for improving quality and safety.

Responsibilities- Drive core programmes of work in quality, safety and risk management, including:
- quality improvement

- health and safety
- service user and community involvement
- risk management
- complaints
- incidents and serious incidents
- patient safety and service improvement
- implementation of recommendations from local and national investigations, reports and audits.
