What is the role about?

The Data Analytics Expert will support the Global Logistics Operations Center (G-LOC) by translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations that can guide business strategies, improve operational efficiency, and optimize decision-making processes.

Which tasks will you perform?

  1. Close collaboration with the G-LOC teams to understand business challenges and find solutions through data analytics.
  2. Creating reports, dashboards, and visual representations of data analysis findings to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
  3. Running analysis projects and assessing processes based on data analytics.
  4. Project Management in developing and setting-up IT infrastructure for Warehouse.
  5. Support discussion and requirements among stakeholders and documenting requirements to provide data-driven recommendations.
  6. Assisting with acceptance integration/testing and developing project plans.
  7. Facilitate regular calls for e.g. CIP and workshops.
  8. Evaluation and monitoring of quality and plausibility of data.
  9. Development and maintenance of processes and documentation.
  10. Perform operational tasks related to the Data infrastructure: performance tuning, security, back-up, etc.
  11. Any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as requested by your manager.
What do we expect from you?
  1. Bachelor in IT Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (or other sciences) matched with relevant professional experience.
  2. Alternatively, strong experience in freight forwarding with a strong IT affinity and secondary education.
  3. Excellent know-how in Tableau (Tableau Certification for e.g. Desktop Specialist and Data Analyst are required).
  4. Skills in SQL and machine learning are an advantage.
  5. Proven experience of understanding data and building the bridge between IT know-how and business understanding, to transfer knowledge effectively between technical and business functions.
  6. Proven ability to abstract and think analytically.
  7. Experience using problem-solving skills to add value to the process.
  8. Programming experience, familiarity with SQL and some data management and analysis software.
  9. Availability to travel internationally.
