We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Support Manager to oversee and manage catering operations for our contracts on the Western seaboard. This role involves liaising with clients, ensuring high-quality food service delivery, managing staff, controlling budgets, and driving customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of catering operations, strong leadership abilities, and excellent client management skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality company standards are implemented and adhered to across the region.
  2. Ensuring the highest food standards and innovation across the region in line with standard operating procedures.
  3. Proactively identify issues and work with operations and other functions to improve the food offering and the financial and operational performance.
  4. Support and develop chef managers within the area of responsibility to ensure proactive management of the sites.
  5. Support business with reactive operational issues in a timely manner.
  6. Respond to site-specific information and work with on-site teams to address issues in a timely manner.
  7. Engage in a collaborative approach with the marketing function and chefs to provide effective and innovative ongoing solutions in line with The Q Café annual marketing calendar.
  8. Working with Senior Operations Teams to drive innovation for specific projects.
  9. Building and maintaining an excellent client relationship, by understanding the changing requirements over time and responding proactively to meet client needs.
  10. Coach and mentor the management team across the region.
  11. Promote teamwork and create a great customer, service user and resident experience.
  12. Have strong commercial awareness with budget experience and capable of appreciating and managing the bottom line.
  13. Build partnership relationships with key stakeholders in order to make better decisions, deliver better products and services, and run operations efficiently.
Qualifications
  • 3rd Level Qualification in Catering Management or equivalent
  • Experience working in Healthcare Catering
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Ability to instruct and motivate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results orientated approach with proven ability to drive business
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Knowledge of Special Diets, IDSSI and allergen awareness
  • Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Previous track record in operations, human resources and health and safety management
