We are searching for a Manager of Data Engineering, to lead domain-centric teams of talented data professionals. Our data platform powers both customer and business success and you will be managing the teams that drive that impact every day. You will empower our business to engage more effectively with our users so they can get more value from our products and services.
You will manage the people who are responsible for delivering trusted, robust, and valuable data assets that are used across the business. We apply software engineering best practices to our data, leveraging ELT tools, and dbt with CI/CD to build, test, and deploy changes to our data models.
The domain-centric teams are responsible for the core data models within a defined business area, and leverage our centralized Unified Analytics Model, which allows us to understand and evolve our business. The teams are also responsible for ensuring that stakeholders can build upon established assets and access data sets in a way that is useful and consistent. Your team of data engineers architect, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, while partnering with stakeholders and collaborating with data source owners within a set business domain.

The day to day.
- Hire, retain, and grow a talented group of analytics and data engineers.
- Be accountable for the delivery of new data assets and for improving and evolving existing ones.
- Understand and communicate the teams' capacity and skills and align them to the roadmap.
- Align work items and priority with teams within the Data organization, such as separate business domains, data platform, and data governance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with analysts, system owners, engineers, product managers, and others to iterate on a data strategy that supports the needs of our rapidly growing business.
- Work closely with business stakeholders in a designated domain area, such as Finance, Sales or Marketing, to design and deliver valuable data to drive business results.
- Communicate the team's work and the value it creates.
- Cultivate a high performance and ownership mindset, setting high standards and clear expectations.
- Be an advocate for maintaining high quality and highly maintainable data assets through best practices and standards.
- Drive improvements in process, code quality, and delivery cadence across the team.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be communicating with senior leadership across the company.
- Experience leading a high performing data team from a technical and business perspective, additional people leadership experience is a major plus.
- Understanding of modern software development practices and how they apply in the context of a data platform.
- Experience with data tools and platforms; FiveTran, Monte Carlo, dbt, and BigQuery a plus.
- Proficient in SQL; able to debug and optimize queries.
- Experience with Python tools for data engineering.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Understanding of business strategy and metrics.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering or engineering leadership.
- 3+ years working in data: data engineering, data analytics, or data science.

Base Salary Range
zł296 000,00 - zł444 000,00
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
