
Person In Charge

We are seeking applications for the role of Person in Charge, who will support the Centre on a full-time contract. The role is suitable for experienced candidates with strong organisational and management skills, or those wishing to progress their careers in a progressive organisation. Candidates should be suitably qualified, skilled, and experienced in managing a team in a social or healthcare setting, and will hold the necessary responsibility, authority, and accountability for service provision in line with relevant regulations.
The Person in Charge will support the delivery of duties within the Centre daily, ensuring compliance with regulations.
The key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring Personal Plans, Risk Assessments, and Behavioural Support Plans are up to date, and that services are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Providing the highest quality of care and support to service users.
- Meeting regulation compliance in accordance with the Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for Persons (Children and Adults) with Disabilities) Regulations 2013.
- Managing the staff team to support service users and coordinating input from other professionals such as Clinical Team members.
- Providing mentorship and leadership, including formal supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings.
- Overseeing service delivery across shifts to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Adhering to local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
- Following all company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining infection control standards in line with company policy and national guidance.
- Acting as a role model and leader within the team.
- Contributing to and maintaining an effective team environment.
- Organising and participating in meetings, reviews, and committees.
- Seeking guidance and providing support to colleagues as needed.
