ProSource Group are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Building Services Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading multidisciplinary consultancies. This position is based in it's Dublin office (hybrid). With over 25 years of experience delivering high-quality design and project management services, the company operates primarily in the industrial sector and across a range of pharmaceutical, healthcare, process and food industry projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, detail-focused engineer to gain hands-on experience on complex building services projects from initial concept to detailed design and handover.

Role Overview

You will be working as part of a collaborative design team to deliver mechanical services on a variety of national and international projects. You'll assist senior staff, contribute to coordinated design packages, and support the successful technical delivery of multidisciplinary projects.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified (Level 7 or 8) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of mechanical building services design principles.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and relevant design/calculation software.
  • Able to take direction and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to all aspects of design and project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Produce P&IDs and coordinated layouts in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Revit).
  • Develop equipment schedules, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Conduct site surveys and gather design inputs.
  • Assist with cost estimating, tender packages, and contract documentation.
  • Support health and safety compliance on assigned projects.
  • Prepare technical reports and participate in client deliverables.
  • Help prepare bids, submissions, and proposals for new business.
