Job Specification

As an Avoca Butcher, you are responsible for supporting the Butcher Team in delivering consistently high-quality butcher products in various Avoca branches as required.

• Preparing and presenting butcher product in accordance with approved recipes and to a very high standard.
• Following all HACCP and food safety regulations, as well as any additional in-house SOPs, labelling requirements, etc.
• Preparation and production of butcher product to be sent to Avoca stores in line with internal ordering processes and procedures.
• Excellent customer service, for both internal and external customers.
• Maintaining good relationships with suppliers while remaining vigilant regarding quality and pricing.

• Time-keeping - Excellent timekeeping and attendance is required in this role.
• Communication - Due to the changeable nature of this role, regular communication is required between you and your line manager in order to maximize efficiency.
• Flexibility - The nature of the business is dependent on customer service which requires certain aspects of flexibility such as roster changes, cover on days that are short-staffed in all areas of the butcher sections as needed. You will be notified of these changes by your line manager.
• High Standards of Quality - A consistent level of quality is required, in keeping with Avoca high standards in all stores.
