Responsibilities
  • Learn about me: what I need and what is important to me
  • Adapt communication style to suit individual needs
  • Be fun and engaging as well as patient and kind
  • Assist with daily living activities and routines including personal care
  • Support engagement in the community
  • Help develop new skills and supports
  • Support understanding of rights and help in making own decisions
Essential criteria
  • A full QQI level 5 major award in Health/Care is essential
  • Awareness of Key Worker/Support Worker role and philosophy when supporting people with complex needs
  • Programme Planning and Person Centred Plans
  • Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings, weekends, and waking night duty shifts
  • Full driver's licence (manual) essential
  • Permission to work in Ireland essential
