Job Description:

Our Client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in manufacturing who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  2. Cost Accounting: Manage and analyse production costs, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
  3. Inventory Management: Monitor and analyse stock levels and costs, ensuring accurate valuation and control.
  4. Systems Management: Utilize financial systems to ensure accurate and efficient reporting. Contribute to system improvements to enhance reporting capabilities.
  5. Accounts Support: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and maintain alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • ACCA or CIMA Accountancy Qualification.

Experience:

  • 3+ years proven experience in an accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of cost accounting.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial systems and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and present to management.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
