Howden are delighted to have a vacancy as Head of Panels & Facilities in our rapidly growing Commercial department. This position will play a key role in the successful delivery of Howden Ireland's placement strategy.About the role:The successful candidate will work closely with the Commercial & Corporate leadership team along with the wider Commercial & Corporate division to ensure Howden Ireland achieves its placement objectives, and within, maximises Facility adoption across the Broking business. The individual will work closely with other senior members of the business to manage specific Facilities in line with Howden Ireland's placement strategy.The individual will be a driving force for placement execution in the business, liaising with various stakeholders, meeting agreed goals on time. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day activities relative to this role operate in accordance with applicable Howden Ireland and/or Group policies and procedures pertaining to placement and associated compliance & governance.Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the Howden Ireland's Executive and Senior Leadership teams to plan and execute on Howden Ireland's Placement roadmap.
  • Drives Facility adoption in this business via planned and sustained regional and branch office engagement.
  • Drives Facility performance working in conjunction with Howden Ireland's Portfolio Solutions Lead.
  • Participates in Insurer Facility QBR's bringing the voice of the business to the markets to support Facility performance.
  • Deliversassigned projectsandalsocontributes to otherprojects and initiatives, asrequired.
  • Creates good practices, tools and processes for Facility adoption and ensures that indicated standards are being followed.
  • Measures Facility performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Drives E-Trade adoption in the business working closely with the Small Enterprise Director and Insurer partners to streamline and optimise performance.
  • Creates reports against key performance metrics to support data-driven decision making.
  • Identifies risks, highlighting to relevant parties in good time and ensuring mitigating action is taken.
  • Supports continuous improvement in Facility adoption practice.
  • Ensures compliance with all relative legal, fiscal, and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensures correct authorisation is obtained and processes followed as required byHowden Ireland.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal broking, claims and operations teams.
  • Works closely with Howden Ireland's Portfolio Solutions and Insurer Development Mangers.
  • Develops strong relationship with external stakeholders such as insurer partners.
About You:
  • 10+ years' experience preferably working in a Broking, Placement or Distribution role.
  • Experience in analyzing datasets pertaining to portfolio and trading performance.
  • Strong awareness and understanding of the compliance & regulatory environment.
  • CIP Qualified. MDI, ACII or Third Level qualification(s) are desirable but not essential.
