We are seeking an experienced data engineer to join our data team and help lay the foundation for SoSafe's data-driven future. You will help shape our data infrastructure and transform raw data into actionable insights that power our product and drive business growth.


Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support both customer-facing and internal data deliveries, enabling self-service analytics through well-governed and accessible data.
  • Collaborate with product, analytics, engineering, and data science teams to deliver data-driven solutions that power the data roadmap and enhance customer experiences.
  • Own the data infrastructure and analytics engineering workflows, driving best practices in data modeling, data quality, and governance to empower self-service analytics.
  • Ensure pipeline reliability through monitoring, alerting, automated testing, and CI/CD automation.
  • Stay current with advancements in data engineering and analytics engineering; evaluate new tools and frameworks to continuously improve data capabilities.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions with an analytics-first mindset.
  • Align stakeholder expectations and communicate complex technical and analytical concepts clearly and proactively.

What makes you a great fit
  • 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and data workflows using the modern data stack (AWS, Airflow, dbt, etc.), including event-driven architectures.
  • Skilled in data modeling, data quality practices, and building trusted, production-grade datasets.
  • Familiar with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Git, CI/CD) to manage and automate analytics workflows at scale, with strong expertise in infrastructure management, alerting, and monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in an agile, fast-paced environment; experience collaborating with business analysts and data scientists.
  • Fluent in English; proactive, ownership-driven, and adept at translating business questions into robust data solutions.
