Job Description

About Us: Galway City Gym has been at the heart of the fitness community for 40 years, helping mums, dads, and individuals over 30 build strength, confidence, and sustainable health habits. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant gym environment while learning from experienced trainers.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Gaining insight into gym operations by assisting with daily tasks; recording membership renewals, cash handling etc.
  • Appropriately introducing the members to the gym and gym equipment.
  • Keeping the gym clean, organised, and welcoming for members.
  • Maintenance of gym equipment.
  • Engaging with members to create a positive and friendly atmosphere.
  • Supporting admin tasks such as bookings, inquiries, answering the telephone and general customer service.

Minimum Requirements
  • Gym instructor qualification and 1 year's experience is required.
Candidate RequirementsEssential
  • Minimum Experienced Required (Years): 1
  • Minimum Qualification: Level 7 (incl Diploma & Ordinary Bachelor Degree) OR Gym Instructor
Desirable
  • Ability Skills: Administration, Communications, Computer Literacy, Interpersonal Skills
  • Competency Skills: Initiative, Teamwork
