Job Title: Person in Charge – Social Care Manager (Residential Services)

Location: County Kildare, Ireland

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours/week)

On-Call Allowance: €3,904 per annum

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Staffline Recruitment is proud to partner with a values-driven organisation to recruit a Social Care Manager (Person in Charge) for a residential service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in County Kildare.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a supportive, person-centred care environment while ensuring operational excellence and full compliance with HIQA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to residential and day services
  • Ensure HIQA, HSE, and internal standards are met and exceeded
  • Lead staff performance, recruitment, and ongoing professional development
  • Manage risk, safeguarding, and service quality improvements
  • Support budget planning and oversee service user finances
  • Drive person-centred care and support residents' rights and inclusion
  • Act as a key liaison with families, HIQA, HSE, and community partners

Candidate Profile

  • QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or equivalent (Health or Social Care discipline)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in social/health care or voluntary sector
  • At least 3 years' experience in a senior role or as a Person in Charge
  • Strong understanding of HIQA standards, governance, and safeguarding
  • Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Experience with staff management and budget oversight
  • Postgraduate qualification in Social Care Management or related field
