Job Description: 1st Year Apprentice Mechanic (FULL Drivers License Required)

Position Overview: As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will be involved in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a proficient automotive technician. Under the guidance of experienced mechanics, you will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of vehicles. This position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic automotive repair environment as well as manufacturer face to face training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learning and Development: Participate actively in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities.
  • Acquire knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
  • Understand the proper usage of diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Familiarize yourself with industry-standard repair procedures and techniques.
Assistance In Repair And Maintenance
  • Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs.
  • Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Observe and learn to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems efficiently.
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Safety And Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and disposing of waste.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to automotive repair activities.
Customer Interaction
  • Learn to communicate effectively with customers to understand their vehicle concerns.
  • Assist in providing accurate estimates for repair costs and timeframes.
  • Strive to deliver high-quality service and exceed customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians.
  • Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record is a must have.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, you will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time automotive technician role with increased responsibilities and compensation.
