Overview

Location: Windward Management Limited, 19/20 Fleet Street. Join our fabulous team at The Fleet Hotel as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter is an important position working closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Team.

About The Fleet

The Fleet Hotel is a boutique style hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises beautiful period buildings including the Bewley's Café. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliners for generations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the catering/catering team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation
  • Responsible for all cleaning duties within the food operation and manage returns from the food outlets
  • Follow a cleaning schedule and carry out tasks as directed by Senior Chefs
  • Adhere to hygiene practices as contained in the Kitchen HACCP manual
  • Put deliveries away and transport them to the appropriate storage area
  • Operate equipment safely and ensure it is in good working order
  • Maintain all storage areas with regard to temperature, ventilation and cleanliness
  • Ensure all food items are stored under the correct conditions according to food type
