Technical Consultant

Ekco is a cloud solution provider with a presence across the UK, Benelux, South Africa, Malaysia and Ireland. The role is part of the technical presales team, delivering presales technical solutions and designs to Ekco customers in line with the Ekco strategy.

We are looking for a candidate who can articulate and demonstrate technology solutions and services in line with the Ekco technology stack and service catalogue.

This technical role will join the wider Ekco Consultancy Service team to support presales activities, solution design and delivery in a customer-facing context. The ideal candidate can articulate technology solutions with confidence and align them with customer requirements and business value.

• Operate with a hands-on technical background and experience delivering projects, ideally at a technical architect level.
• Align technology solutions and designs with customer requirements while articulating business value.
• Ensure technology strategy is reflected in solutions, technologies and designs presented to customers.
• Present to customers from diverse backgrounds on solutions addressing business challenges in tangible ways.
• Provide clear and professional presales documentation using standard templates.
• Lead a team in delivering solution-based responses (e.g., tenders).
• Adhere to professional standards in service performance and quality.
• Promote adherence to the presales process and awareness of it among users.
• Ensure effective handover of solution scope and designs to Ekco Project Delivery Teams.
• Conduct routine updates and training on new products, technologies and upgrades for internal sales staff.
• Stay ahead of market developments to offer innovative services and solutions; present and sell these opportunities internally.

• Presentation-ready knowledge and product expertise on key technologies and services.
• Strong technical knowledge in Cloud Architecture, Network infrastructure, Windows Server and Security solutions.
• Experience in preparing business solution proposals and presenting to senior executives.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven delivery of multiple technical projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for translating complex topics to varied audiences.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to Ekco and client locations as required.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Typically 7+ years of experience in the IT Services industry.
• Motivated to learn new technologies with a proactive, positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to produce well-formatted reports.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred (not mandatory).
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, EM+S, Office 365).
• In-depth knowledge of technical solutions (e.g., MS Defender, Windows Server, VMware, Veeam).
• Strong understanding of the IT industry and its trends.
