Associate Director – Civil & Environmental Engineering

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Director – Civil & Environmental Engineering to join its growing infrastructure and environmental team. This senior leadership role is ideal for candidates with 15+ years of experience, offering the opportunity to oversee major infrastructure projects in areas such as waste management, urban development, and renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead civil and environmental engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, supporting company growth.
  • Oversee design management, project planning, and preparation of technical reports.
  • Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Mentor and supervise senior and junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Chartered Engineer status.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in design and project management.
  • Strong background in multi-disciplinary design management and business development.
  • Experience in budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and oral hearings is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
