Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a Portfolio Management or Risk professional to join the growing and dynamic Risk team at Carne Group. The successful candidate will be based in our Dublin office

Minimum Requirements
  • Good PC skills, ideally with some knowledge of risk management systems (e.g., MSCI Risk Metrics) for investment funds.
  • Self-motivated with aspirations to earn professional qualifications, ideally working towards CFA, FRM, or similar designations.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Onboarding of new UCITS and AIF funds onto our Irish and Luxembourg management companies, working closely with the Onboarding, Portfolio Management, and Risk & Valuation teams.
  • Drafting risk and valuation policies and procedures for each new fund launch.
  • Analyzing and understanding the investment strategy of new funds to ensure compliance with UCITS and AIF regulations.
  • Contributing during client meetings to assist in setting up new funds in line with relevant regulations and Carne policies.
  • Responding promptly to material risk issues at client funds by escalating to the appropriate authority.
  • Supporting the Risk & Valuation team in onboarding new investment funds and managers by drafting relevant documentation and participating in due diligence and agreements.
  • Understanding and adapting to regulatory updates (e.g., SFDR) to ensure client compliance from the outset.
  • Working on projects and ad hoc requests from clients, colleagues, and regulators.
  • Supporting the development of Carne's proprietary system, Curator, regarding Risk Analytics.
