Overview

Operations Reconciliation Representative II at Fidelity Investments.

Our Reconciliations team is centrally involved in managing resources, processes, and customer needs, responsible for the daily cash reconciliations for Fidelity Mutual Funds. The team monitors exceptions with banks to protect Fidelity's integrity and our shareholders.

Responsibilities
  • Complete Cash, Position, Bank, Fund, and/or Proxy reconciliations on time and within expectations.
  • Drive accuracy of mutual funds' accounting and support continuous improvement via active backlog projects.
  • Lead or participate in projects to build new or deepen existing skills and career path.
The Skills You Bring
  • Base knowledge of reconciliations and industry regulations, cash and securities movement, accounting principles, and NAV, Mil, or Yield calculations.
  • Passion for deepening understanding of multiple security types/products and their process flows.
  • Ability to quickly learn processes, systems, and tools used for reconciliations (e.g., Frontier).
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Autonomy with the capacity to balance multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail to identify high-risk items and minimize shareholder and Fidelity risk.

  • Central to day-to-day operations; contribute to reporting to internal partners or presentations to senior leaders in Ireland.
  • Protect Fidelity by reconciling account activity or researching and resolving cash exceptions with the appropriate custodian bank.
  • Self-starter who follows protocols and procedures autonomously.
  • Provide exception status reports to business partners; foster strong relationships with fund accounting and custodian banks.
  • Personal ownership drives accurate and timely reconciliations and exception resolution.
  • Provide timely customer service to internal and external business partners.
