Data Entry Operator

Overview

Data Entry Operator – Level III at Capital i. This is a projected position with a start date no earlier than October 1.

Description

This role performs complex data entry work that requires advanced experience and judgment in selecting procedures, interpreting data, and resolving issues. In addition to the skills required for Levels I and II, the Level III Operator provides guidance and training to other staff in mail handling, scanning, editing, and data entry using key-from-image instruments. This role combines hands-on data entry responsibilities with leadership and mentoring functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and verification from a wide range of complex source documents.
• Apply advanced judgment in selecting and adapting procedures for data entry tasks.
• Train and mentor other staff on receiving incoming mail.
• Scanning and imaging documents.
• Editing data for accuracy and completeness.
• Entering data using key-from-image instruments.
• Support the Forms Processing Group, and assist with the Centralized Edit Unit, Frames Maintenance Group, Print Mail Center, and Objective Yield Lab when needed.
• Assist staff in troubleshooting issues with procedures or software applications.
• Ensure compliance with productivity and accuracy standards while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data.
• Directly supervise Level I and Level II Operators; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, and addressing complaints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
• Two or more years of data entry or related clerical/administrative experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate alphanumeric and 10-key data entry with speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience training or mentoring staff in data entry, scanning, and mail-handling procedures.
• Proven ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards consistently.
• Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.
• Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.

$26.04 per hour
