Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Children's Disability Network Team – Limerick

Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) supporting children and young people with complex needs. The role involves delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services as part of an interdisciplinary team, in line with national disability service frameworks. Services are provided across various settings including clinics, homes, schools (including special schools), preschools, and community environments.
It is expected that you will contribute to the planning and delivery of individualized assessment and intervention programs for children aged 0–18 years. You will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for children with developmental delays or disabilities, working collaboratively with families and team members to support holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical speech and language assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young people.
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to create and deliver individualized care plans.
- Deliver services in diverse settings including homes, educational facilities, and community environments.
- Conduct assessments as part of statutory requirements such as the Assessment of Need process
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement efforts.
- Prescribe and monitor communication and therapeutic equipment tailored to each child's specific needs.
- Support family-centered practice by engaging and empowering caregivers in the therapy process.
Essential Requirements:
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience.
- Demonstrated professional competence and clinical expertise relevant to this role.
- Proof of statutory registration with CORU prior to commencement of employment.
- Ongoing maintenance of annual CORU registration throughout employment.
- Full driver's license and access to own transport.
