TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Male Social Care Worker to join a Day service Intellectual Disabilities setting base in Kilkenny.

This is a permanent full time contract. Shifts run from 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Salary: From €33k to €39k per annum.

We are looking for someone with significant experience an someone who can hold the space and provide boundaries. This organisation boasts a very low staff turnover and excellent career progression opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a 'high support' environment while supporting people whose behaviour is described as sometimes challenging.

QQI Level 6 in Social Care

  • Experience of working with people with a intellectual disability and/or Autism
  • Experience in implementing behavioural interventions. To effectively implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
  • A working knowledge of New Directions, Health and Safety regulations, knowledge of HIQA standards and requirements.
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
  • Effective communication skills, computer literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office would be a distinct advantage
  • To be aware of health and safety responsibilities, taking all possible steps to ensure a safe working environment, and reporting all incidents and potential hazards.
