Medforce are looking for aSenior Speech and Language Therapistto play a key role in the development of an evidence-based, inpatient-focused service within a highly renowned acute facility inLouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, shaping rehabilitation pathways for clients with neurological disability across our client's hospital group.

This is a 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday post with a range of excellent benefits, including free onsite parking, HSE pay-scale with incremental progression, generous annual leave entitlement, and CPD opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a senior member of the SLT team, you will play a pivotal role in service delivery and clinical leadership, including:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders across a range of neurological conditions including stroke.
  • Lead on complex cases, service development, and best-practice approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and healthcare teams to optimise patient care.
  • Providing clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students.
  • Offering training and advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding communication and swallowing disorders.

Essential Criteria:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and current registration with CORU.
  • Demonstrated expertise in neurology/stroke care.
  • Experience supervising junior staff or students.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical, post graduate experience
