My Client are a leading engineering and project delivery company focused on providing innovative and sustainable solutions across various infrastructure and energy sectors. With a growing portfolio in renewable energy, STS is committed to supporting the global transition towards clean energy by delivering high-quality projects in solar, wind, battery storage, and hybrid energy systems.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in renewable energy projects to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of medium to large-scale energy initiatives. The successful candidate will manage multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The scope here is Substation and grid connection projects across Munster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind, BESS, hybrid systems), from initiation to handover.
  • Develop project execution plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, and quality performance.
  • Manage project teams including engineers, subcontractors, and external vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, local standards, and company policies.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and reporting, including regular updates to clients and senior management.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with procurement for equipment and materials.
  • Oversee commissioning and performance testing processes.
  • Ensure that environmental and permitting requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
RequirementsEducation & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related field.
  • PMP or Prince2 Certification (preferred).
  • Master's degree in Renewable Energy or Project Management (desirable).
Experience
  • Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in renewable energy.
  • Senior Level, hands on, with HV experience, ideally background working with ESB and EirGrid
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, grid connection, and utility-scale project development.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of permitting, environmental compliance, and grid regulations.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (Arabic, French, Spanish) are a plus.
