About the Job:

TikTok is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join its Human Resource Operations team in Dublin. The team is focused on delivering a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to exit. This role will require strong knowledge of employee relations practices and employment law within the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.

The role involves providing advice and guidance on various employee relations matters, such as disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, and long-term sick leave. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, critical thinking, teamwork, and emotional intelligence while dealing with complex HR-related issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Manage and handle complex employee relations cases, from start to finish, in compliance with policies, best practices, and legal requirements.
  • Investigations: Conduct confidential investigations on complex HR-related concerns, analyze evidence, and make investigative conclusions.
  • Policy & Legal Advice: Provide expert advice to HR Business Partners and business leaders on ER matters, ensuring compliance with regional employment law.
  • Training & Development: Curate and deliver relevant training to improve the effectiveness of HRBPs and leaders in managing employee relations issues.
  • Data Insights: Collaborate with key partners to analyze ER data, identify trends, and develop solutions to address root causes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with business leaders, legal teams, and ethics officers to ensure effective ER practices.
Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 4+ years of experience in employee relations, particularly within the EMEA region.
  • Strong experience in partnering with key stakeholders and working effectively in teams.
  • In-depth understanding of EMEA employment laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to make sound judgment in complex and sensitive situations.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in partnering with senior business leaders.
  • Confidence and resilience, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
