Job Description:AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, ensuring continual access to the cloud services our customers rely on. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others. Key job responsibilities- Be controls SME with knowledge of building operations, electrical and mechanical systems, control diagrams, HVAC, electrical line-ups, and complex environmental concepts.
- Create and maintain project scope documents, specifications, drawings, and standards.
- Operate in high-security environments while maximizing productivity.
- Innovate to develop new solutions supporting team and company goals.
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
- Serve as a technical SME for controls standards with internal and external groups.
- Manage requests for new construction, site support, and site enhancements.
- Ensure system deployment and commissioning meet standards.
- Practice frugality with budgets, focusing on customer needs.
- Anticipate risks and manage escalations.
- Resolve challenges quickly and autonomously.
- Manage external vendors and review bid packages.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interact with AWS cloud services for data management.
- Travel as needed (~25%).
Lead electrical and mechanical controls design for critical infrastructure projects, including HV substations and data centers. Develop new processes, standards, and test innovations in controls, aligning with Amazon leadership principles.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Good understanding of electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, and HVAC systems.
- Leadership experience in IT and MEP/ACS design environments.
- Experience managing large-scale data center projects.
- Basic knowledge of Data Center IT Infrastructure.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with building management system software (Schneider, Siemens, Tridium, Trend).
- Experience with electrical power monitoring systems (Schneider, Eaton).
- Knowledge of Data Center Facilities Infrastructure (PDU, UPS, Generators).
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
