Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer in Applied Social Science at University of Galway at 0.6 FTE. The post-holder will be involved in teaching Family Law, Child Protection and Welfare and Human Rights Law in the BA in Child, Youth and Family, Policy and Practice; BA in Community, Youth and Family Studies; MA in Social Work and the MA in Family Support. The Post holder will also be a member of the Discipline of Applied Social Science (DASS) and will make occasional contributions to programmes within the Discipline as agreed with the Head of Discipline.

The full-time hours of work for academic staff are 39 hours per week.

Salary: €63,624 to €101,498 pro rata p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
