Job Summary: Nua Healthcare Services seeks to add to its multidisciplinary team within Ireland's new specialist mental health inpatient service, serving adults aged 18 to 65 with mental disorders.
Responsibilities

- Co-operate with your employer and comply with responsibilities under applicable laws and safety regulations, and all associated standards, regulations, and codes of practice insofar as reasonable and practicable.
- Ensure PP's and/or ICP's are up to date and that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the local safety statement, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Use company IT systems as instructed and protect passwords; avoid unauthorised disclosure of company or personal data as defined under GDPR.
- Report safety concerns for patients to your line manager or other Nua managers in line with company policy.
- Act responsibly and cooperate with regulators in the best interests of our service and its users.
- Maintain high infection control standards as directed by policy and national guidance for the safety and welfare of staff, patients, and others.
- Safe management and administration of medications.
- Utilize nursing skills to support frontline care for all patients.
- Support the development and implementation of health assessments, medication plans, and supporting documents (personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans, etc.).
- Ensure Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all patients.
- Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual's community.
- Communicate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
- Identify supports and collaborate with the individual, their family, and other supports as outlined in Personal Plans.
- Support patients with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients and staff.
- Promote person-centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Support the development and implementation of relevant documents outlining supports for individuals (personal plans, standard operating procedures, etc.).
- Support and promote opportunities for community involvement for people who use the service.
- Assist DON in compiling and presenting reports as required.
Qualifications
- Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of medication management.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Understanding of the needs of individuals.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Experience in a supportive role with people.
- Willingness to learn.
- Reliability and flexible approach to work.
- Good organisation and IT skills.
- Self-motivated / self-starter.
- Ability to plan time effectively.
